Select a Topic / Component Team

In the first class, we learned about the tasks and procedures of this course. After deciding on the chosen topic, we formed a group.
  • Kang Shu Ying
  • Xiao Tong
  • Wang Zi Long
  • Ke Bo Zhi
  • Liu Cheng Rui
Information Collection

First of all, in class we collected some information about tires and the company respectively, in order to have a more thorough and deeper understanding of this project.

In the second week, we held brief meetings with four different engineering teams. This process enabled us to understand the principles of the product and the requirements of the engineering teams. Eventually we decided to collaborate with Group Synergy led by Boon Hean.

We made another revision to the information about the user roles.

Fig1.5 :The modified user role

After completing the simulation of the target users, we began to prepare the user journey map and recorded the needs and behaviors of different users corresponding to different operations.

FINAL PROJECT

FEEDBACK

week1
We have identified the topic and formed the team.

week2
I, together with the newly joined team members, attended a meeting with students from different engineering colleges, and determined the plan process and goals.

week3
In the third week, we conducted a simulation of the target audience and designed a questionnaire survey as well as interview questions.

week4
The data of the simulated users is not accurate and formal enough, and more data needs to be added.

week5
Place particular emphasis on the tasks of questionnaire surveys and interviews.

week6
Revise the questions in the questionnaire, ensuring that the statements are clear and choosing a more appropriate platform to distribute the questionnaire.

week7
Sort out all the data from the questionnaires and interviews and write down five conclusions.

week10
Be sure to pay attention to the usage method and size of the equipment. We cannot simply ignore this issue.

week11
All artworks need to be in line with their own theme slogan "More KM, Less RM - Smart Lane ".

week13
Continue to advance the project and complete the web login page.

week14
Merge all the artworks and create them into a Google document.

Reflection

Experience
In this course, we collaborated with the engineering team to present their designed tire friction simulation device in a visual way. During this process, we encountered a series of problems, mainly related to communication and interaction. When creating the 3D model of the device, we were unable to showcase all the details of the device. Through this process, we gained valuable experience.

Observation
During the process of collaborating with the engineering team, we discovered that we didn't have a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge related to the device. Mr. Mack told us that we needed to communicate more actively with the engineering team. We are responsible for the design, while the engineering team's job is to ensure that we have a clear understanding of all the information about the device. Only by having a complete understanding of what we are doing can we achieve a more accurate and smoother outcome.

Findings
This course collaboration has made me realize that the most important thing in cross-team cooperation is to communicate with each other. When encountering problems, one should promptly ask questions and communicate. Only by understanding each other can everything go smoothly.
